Where is the COP26 taking place In Glasgow?
The conference takes place at the Scottish Event Campus. The campus is comprised of three separate venues:
- SSE Hydro
- Scottish Event Centre
How do I get to COP26 from the city centre?
Guests at Fraser Suites Glasgow are right around the corner from Argyle Street station. You can get a fast train heading westbound, and the Exhibition Centre Station is only three stops away. The event will be clearly signposted from the station to the campus.
A single ticket averages £2.10. An off-peak return ticket averages £1.80. It is expected that extra trains will be put on during the conference.
Directions from our location to the event area can be found here.
Can I get a taxi from Fraser Suites Glasgow to COP26?
You can book a taxi via reception or order an Uber to collect you from the front door.
Rideshares are expected to be at higher rates in the area through the duration of COP26. With added security in place, it will be likely that taxis have to leave you off in the Finnieston area and may not be able to drive up Congress Road where the three venues meet.
Can I walk from the city centre to COP26?
Yes. We’re quite lucky in Glasgow to have much of the riverside accessible to the public to walk from the city centre out to the conference area. Anyone looking to walk there needs to head towards the river and follow the Clyde westwards towards the conference.
